In mid-August, the Val de Bagnes shifts gears. After the classical highs of the Verbier Festival, rock and electronic music take over the peaks, paired with a proper raclette. Rocklette (8 to 16 August) and Electroclette (22 and 23 August) extend the summer season across alpine pastures reachable only on foot, by bike, cable car or bus.
Both events belong to the PALP Festival, now in its sixteenth edition, running across Valais from 24 April to 19 September 2026, through distilleries, castles, alpine pastures and summits. Its signature move is blending heritage, gastronomy and contemporary music in unexpected settings, some perched close to 3,000 metres. For anyone staying in Verbier during this window, Rocklette and Electroclette give an excellent reason to extend the holiday well beyond the usual hiking trails.
Rocklette: A Week of Concerts on the Val de Bagnes Pastures
From 8 to 16 August 2026, Rocklette takes over several mountain sites in the Val de Bagnes, notably Goly, Brunet and Lein. The idea is simple: rock bands perform outdoors on natural stages carved out by the mountain, while a raclette made with raw milk cheese melts nearby. Concerts run daily between 11am and 7pm, usually with two or three bands scheduled per day.
The 2026 line-up brings together well-established names from the international rock and stoner scene, including Corrosion of Conformity, pioneers of American crossover thrash, Kadavar, a leading figure of the European psych-stoner revival, and Elder with its progressive, expansive compositions. Witchcraft, Messa and Chat Pile round out a bill built for guitar enthusiasts and curious travellers alike.
No road leads to these pastures. Access is on foot, by bike, cable car or bus, which turns every concert into a light expedition rather than a simple night out. The Rocklette Pass 2026, available in limited quantity, grants access to the entire week and includes transport, shuttles and cable cars. Drinks and raclette are settled separately on site.
The atmosphere stays deliberately relaxed and unpretentious. People come as much for the music as for the setting, amid green pastures and Valais peaks, with a covered shelter at Bruson in case of heavy rain.

Electroclette: Electronic Music Facing the Grand Combin
A week later, on 22 and 23 August, Electroclette takes over with a more electronic proposition. The setting is La Chaux and Ruinettes, above Verbier, at around 2,200 metres, where DJ sets follow one another facing the Grand Combin massif. Valais wines and raclette accompany the evening, in the same spirit as Rocklette: music, local produce and landscape brought together on one plateau.
Getting back down is straightforward: a shuttle runs continuously from La Chaux to Ruinettes, connecting to a cable car down to Le Châble and Verbier until midnight. This shorter, single-weekend format makes it a more intimate gathering, favoured by those after one memorable evening rather than a full week of festival.

Why Stay in Verbier for the Occasion
Verbier remains the most logical base for reaching the Rocklette and Electroclette sites. The cable cars and shuttles serving the Val de Bagnes pastures and Ruinettes all depart from the resort, which makes evening journeys considerably easier, especially after a concert that runs late.
Staying locally also means making the most of the rest of the summer calendar. The Verbier Festival wraps up in early August, Rocklette picks up the baton from the 8th, and the month closes with Electroclette in late August. A month of August spent in Verbier means moving from classical to rock to electronic without ever leaving the valley, ahead of further gourmet gatherings across the region come September.
We offer a range of apartments and chalets in Verbier, close to the lifts and the village centre, ideal for reaching the Rocklette or Electroclette shuttles within minutes. Our properties suit groups of friends staying for several festival nights just as well as couples looking for a weekend escape built around electronic music.

A Few Practical Tips to Make the Most of It
Sturdy walking shoes are worth packing, even for the shortest stretch between cable car and stage. Evenings at altitude cool down quickly once the sun sets, so a light jacket is never a bad idea, even in mid-August. Finally, it is worth checking the last uphill and downhill departure times before setting off, as these can vary from day to day depending on the programme.
