On 1 August, Switzerland’s National Day brings Verbier’s Kermesse to life — one of the oldest and most beloved village celebrations in the resort, marking its 50th anniversary this year (31st of July and 1st of August). Later in the month, the Grand Raid BCVs, one of the country’s most iconic mountain bike races, sets off from Verbier towards Grimentz via the finest passes in the Valais.
