About Our Real Estate Agency in Verbier

Since 1963

Originally, in the 1950s, the Domus agency was known as Stella, a family-run hair salon founded by Frieda Klay, who also managed a few properties and provided housekeeping services for some of the resort’s homeowners. This meeting place gradually shifted toward real estate, marking the beginning of a more professional approach within the resort. In 1963, her daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Serge Picchio took over the property-related activities and officially founded Domus, dedicating themselves entirely to the management and rental of holiday homes. The family business has evolved with the times while preserving the values of hospitality and close relationships instilled by its founders. Today, the agency is led by Milko Picchio, while his sister Marina oversees the management of rental properties. The fourth generation, Pauline and Maxime, now carry on this family adventure with passion. Surrounded by a loyal and dedicated team, they continue to embody the spirit of Domus — a symbol of continuity, trust, and expertise at the heart of Verbier. Since 1963, Domus has been an integral part of Verbier’s history and is now the oldest real estate agency still in operation.

50's

The agency, perfumery, and hair salon Stella, run by Frieda Klay, was located on Rue de Médran.

60's

Serge Picchio proudly poses in front of the Hôtel de Verbier, founded by Alexis Bruchez, great-grandfather of Pauline and Maxime on their mother’s side. Serge worked there as a café waiter upon arriving in Switzerland.

60-70's

Yvonne and Serge Picchio at the beginnings of the Domus agency, founded in 1963. Serge obtained his license in 1973.

80's

Milko, their son, joined the agency and obtained his license in 1985. His sister Marina had worked there before the birth of her first child and returned in 2009, where she still works today.

2020's

Domus Agency celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023 and modernised its offices.
